3Format
- Be sure to follow THIS format for writing your
report.
4Use the title of the book as a heading for the
title page of your report.Insert a picture
related to the title of the book.Write the
following information on the bottom right-hand
corner of the title page.
Title Page
- Student Name
- Grade Level
- Subject
- Date
5 On other pages, put your last name and the
page number on the bottom right hand corner of
each page.
All Other Pages
6- Book report must be on white paper.
- Write or type in blue or black ink.
- If type written, the font size should be 14.
- The report is to be written on one side of the
paper only. - The report must be in a clear report cover.
7Your book report will be graded for content and
sentence structure, spelling and grammar ,
paragraph structure, and neatness.

8Paragraph Form
This report must be written in paragraph
form. Dont forget to have a topic sentence and
to include supporting details. Be absolutely
sure you indent each paragraph.

- Setting and Time Period
10 Description of Plot
- Explain what happens in the story.
- You must have a paragraph
- summary for each chapter of the
- book.
11Character Descriptions
- Tell about the major characters. Describe them
and explain how they are important to the story.
Give your opinion of each one you listed. - You must have a separate paragraph for each major
character.
12Recommendation
- Who should read this book?
- Why should they read it?
- How difficult was it to read?
- What age group should read it?
- Explain why you like or dislike the book.
- Would you recommend this book
to a friend?
13Definitions
- Glossary Define ten unfamiliar or challenging
words in the novel.
14Book reports must be your own work.Do not copy
from another person or a book.

- Dont wait until the last minute to start your
report. - Read and summarize one or two chapters a night.
- Put forth your best effort.
