• They are a great place to relax and read a book.
• The salt water and sand are refreshing.
• Many opportunities for recreation.
• Variety of plants and animals to be found.
• Most importantly, they are fun!

California Beaches

• My favourite beaches in California are located
  along the Central Coast.
• I love the wide variety of plant and animal life
  found on these beaches, including whale and
  dolphin sightings.
• My parents Border Collie Lucy likes to frolic in
  the ice plant at Wall Beach, near Lompoc, CA.

Dewey Beach, Delaware

• Sandy beach on the East Coast
• Popular tourist destination
• Very crowded in the summer

Antigua
Antiguas beaches are a favourite of mine for
swimming. The Caribbean Sea has perfect water
temperature year round.
Mooo-ve over, youre blocking my sun.

• Wildlife on Antiguas beaches range from jelly
  fish to cattle.

The Homer Spit

• A strip of beach on the Kenai Peninsula in
  Alaska.
• Popular location for camping in the summer.
• Location of my first and only bald eagle sighting.

Tucson, Arizona

• Favourite beach not located near an ocean.

• Tucson is a beautiful desert with plenty of dirt
  and a serious lack of water.
• There is a potential for water sports during the
  summer monsoon season.
• Washes overflow with water and wash away
  unsuspecting vehicles.

Wreck Beach

• On my first day in Vancouver, I hiked down to
  Wreck Beach from the UBC campus. I was in for
  surprised when I finally reached my destination.

Surprise! This beach is clothing optional!

Beach Discoveries
I love beaches because they hold unexpected
discoveries. Plants, animals, shells and an
abundance of beauty can be found at any beach.

What now?

• Now that I live in Vancouver, I am surrounded by
  gorgeous beaches waiting to be explored. As
  usual, I am always on the lookout for a good
  beach.
