Title: Oswego East Auto Club

1
Oswego East Auto Club
  • Sponsorship Program

2
About Our Club
  • Our club is made up of a group of students who
have an interest in automotive technology above
and beyond our schools automotive program. In
our club we do a variety of activities. We learn
    about automotive high performance, restorations,
    racing, and fabrication.
  • We meet every Tuesday to learn, work in the shop,
raise funds for our club car, and discuss
    happenings in the automotive industry.

3
Our Club Car
  • Our club has a 1969 Camaro SS in original
    un-restored condition.
  • The car was donated to us by famed car collector
    Steve Sandlin.
  • The car is in original condition and is in need
    of restoration and modification.

4
Our Plans for the Car
  • We want a stock appearance with race car
    performance.
  • Goal of low 10 second ¼ mile.
  • We have outlined a three step plan to complete
    the build of our car.
  • -Drive Train
  • -Chassis
  • -Body Interior

5
Drive Train Details
  • Large displacement Small Block Chevy based
    engine. 500-600hp naturally aspirated
  • Full roller valve train.
  • Forged rotating assembly.
  • Carbureted engine with electric fuel system.
  • Fully electronic ignition system.
  • 200hp single stage nitrous system.
  • Turbo 400 transmission with manual valve body and
    trans-brake
  • Ford 9 rear differential.

6
Chassis Suspension Details
  • 4 link rear suspension, coil over adjustable
    shocks.
  • Tubular suspension components, polygraphite
    bushings
  • Full roll cage and tied chassis.
  • Brake system upgrade
  • Tire/wheel upgrade

7
Body and Interior Details
  • Body stripped, prepped, repainted original color.
    Vinyl top will be removed.
  • Interior will be restored to original condition.
  • Gauges and switches will be installed in a
    discrete location to monitor vehicle/engine.

8
Reasoning for Build
  • In the club, I want students to get first hand
experience of building and restoring a car the
proper way. They will gain knowledge on parts
    selection, building procedures, restoration
techniques, tuning, and racing of the car.
  • They will be able to take these skills with them
as they build their own cars in the future.

9
What Part Can You Play?
  • To do this project, we need funding. This
funding will pay for parts, labor that we are not
able to do (painting, chassis welding/fabrication)
, and regular maintenance of the car.
  • We have had many fund raisers however, a project
of this size requires more money than we can
    raise on our own.
  • We are looking for sponsors to help get our
project off the ground and get the school race
car out on the track and into show quality
    condition.

10
Sponsorship Packages
  • Bronze Sponsor- 500-1000
  • You will receive an Oswego Auto Club T-shirt.
  • You Your name/company name on our cars build and
sponsor plaque that will be displayed at all
    events we attend.
  • Advertising space on our website, and Sponsorship
rights on our internet forum to communicate with
    the club and customers.
  • Tax deduction for amount of money donated or
    value of parts/services donated.
  • You will receive a monthly report on what we are
doing in the club and the progress of the car.
  • You will also receive a treasurers report to see
where and how your dollars are being spent.
  • Invites to join us at all shows and in the pits
    at the track.
  • Best of all, you will know that you are donating
to a good cause and helping form the future of
    many automotive technicians.

11
Sponsorship Packages
  • Silver package- 2000
  • This package gets all the features of the bronze
    package.
  • A sticker with your name/company name displayed
on the cars rear window. As proven by
professional race cars, your name on the car is
    great advertising for your business.

12
Sponsorship Packages
  • Gold Package- 5000
  • This gets you all of the features of Bronze and
    Silver packages
  • A large sticker on a major body panel of the car.
This is the most effective way to get your name
    out to all race spectators.
  • It also shows the community that you are involved
with helping the students and our local schools.

13
How This Helps You
  • If you are a parts manufacturer or service that
we use, the students as well as spectators get
first hand examples of your parts/services in
    action.
  • It creates brand loyalty. Students who build
with your parts/services now will remember the
name and quality in the future when they build
    their own cars.
  • Spectators who see our car perform well at the
track and at shows will see that your
product/services are helping us win and are of
    top quality.
  • This is the best way to guarantee future
    business.
  • If it is financial support you are donating, it
is great advertising to a crowd your business may
    not normally appeal to.

14
How We Will Spread The Word
  • We will attend local car shows and events.
  • Attend local drag races (Joliet, Union Grove, and
    Byron).
  • Have the car and signs present at all school
events (football games, open houses, other large
    events).
  • Have car at all large community events (Prairie
    Fest and other local gatherings).
  • Monthly updates in school newspapers and other
    publications.
  • Constant updates on our website and internet
    forums.
  • We would like if all sponsors would serve on a
board of directors to help us make some decisions
on how our club is working and if we are doing
all that we can. Meetings will take place twice
    a year.

15
How long does it last?
  • Your sponsorship will last 2 years after the car
has been complete. After two years, your name
will remain on the build and sponsor plaque, and
you will still have website and forum
advertisement, but a continued sponsorship will
be required to keep your name on the car.
  • We would like to have the car finished and out
promoting your business by the Spring of 2007.
That time is when your two year sponsorship will
    begin.
