5CONGRATULATIONS
- A-Techs Key Club won Club of the Year for the
Key Club Division of 28 North. This award looks
at membership, attrition, number of service
hours, number of service projects, etc. Elaine
Tan won Outstanding Secretary and was also
elected to be the new Lieutenant Governor for the
division next year.
6STUDENTS AND STAFF
- Do you have a SWEET TOOTH?!? If so, or if you
know someone who would love to receive sweets
from you as a gift, be sure to come to the BAKE
WALK at A-TECH's school carnival this Friday,
March 7, from 330 pm to 730 pm! A wide variety
of baked goods will be available, including rice
krispy treats, brownies, cookies, cupcakes,
doughnuts, and, of course, full cakes for the
CAKE WALK! For just 1.00, you could win some
delicious treats, including a full cake!
Remember, there is a winner every round! So,
support the College Prep Club and come to the
BAKE WALK this Friday! See you there!
7ATENTION
- A-Tech was the only high school in the state of
Nevada to be recognized as a top performing
American high school in Advanced Placement
science and math courses by the Siemens
Foundation. One high school per state was
selected in recognition of its commitment to
students and leadership in AP participation and
performance. A-Tech will receive a 1,000. grant
awarded from the Siemens Foundation to be used to
support math and science education.
8ATENTION
- A-Tech received a "Schools of Distinction" Award
from the Magnet Schools of America. This award
recognizes the top magnet schools in the United
States that show a commitment to high academic
standards, curriculum innovation, successful
desegration/diversity efforts, and the consistent
delivery of quality services to all school
stakeholders.
9STUDENTS
- Lets get ready for Spring Break and the
Lights-Out Dance!! Starting Monday, March 9th, we
will have spirit week! Please see the schedule
below - Monday Hat Day
- Tuesday Pajama Day
- Wednesday Wear your school colors
- Thursday Freshman wear brown, Sophomores wear
pink, Juniors wear blue and - Seniors wear orange
- Friday Neon Color day (Wear your brightest neon)

special during both lunches 3/6 and 3/7. -
11STUDENTS
- The First Annual A-TECH Carnival will be held
this Friday in the Student Activities Center and
on the patio outside. Admission is 2.00 or two
canned goods. Bring a friend (with their CCSD ID)
or parent. The carnival will start at 330 and
will end at 730. There will be food, games,
prizes, and much, much more.
12STUDENTS
- Lemonade Challenge A-TECH, please help support
tomorrows business leaders today by purchasing
lemonade at this years Lemonade Challenge! This
event takes place in the SAC during both lunches
on Wednesday, March 5.
13ATTENTION
- A-TECH show your school spirit by buying your
A-TECH Spirit Ribbon during both lunches on your
block days in March!!! We also have special
Senior Spirit Ribbons - stop by and check them
out!!! They are only 50 cents each!!!
14STUDENTS
- Have fun before spring break Attend the
Lights-Out-Dance on Friday, March 14th from
7p-10p! There will be glowsticks, food and fun!!
Tickets are 5 in advance and 6 at the door.

19Bodies by ATECH
Bodies by A-TECH (Formerly Body Tech) is open for
business. If you are interested in getting fit -
stop by the weight room and workout with us on
Mondays, Tuesdays, or Fridays during either
lunch. See you there!!!!!
20SENIORS
- If you have a GPA of 3.5 or above and you play
two or more sports at your zoned school, please
stop by the counseling office and give your name,
resume, what sports you play and the name of
your zoned school to Mrs. Marshall for a
possible scholarship opportunity. The deadline
for this - information is Friday, March 7th.
21SENIORS
- If you would like to purchase a senior shirt in
an XL or XXL, you will need to order one either
in the front of the lunchroom or in Ms. Vallaris
room all this week! All orders must be made by
this Friday, March 7th!

23SOPHOMORES
- Proficiency testing is right around the corner -
April 1st. Don't wait until the last minute to
start preparing. Visit the math proficiency
table set up in the 700 hallway and beginning
March 3rd, attend tutoring sessions Monday thru
Thursday, mornings and afternoons, in room 715.
24SENIORS
- Please continue to check the scholarship
bulletin every week. There are many new
scholarships listed. If you would like an
application or information about any of the
following scholarships, please stop by the
counseling office. The following scholarship
