Transpiration is a process by which water vapours
escape from the plant surfaces like leaves, stem,
cuticle etc
MATERIALS REQUIRED
Potted plant, Transparent polythene bag

Select a plant grown in pot. Irrigate with water
and place it in the open sun. Cover the plant
with transparent polythene cover. Starts looking
hazy.

Observe the water droplets on the inner side of
the polythene cover. This indicates transpiration
of water by plants.
