• Life expectancy late 20s-early30s

• Glands with ducts-mucous,salivary,and
  sweat-producing glands
• Respiratory system and skin,GI tract and
  reproductive organs

Symptoms

• Newborn-meconium ileus
• 1-6mos.-failure to gain weight
• steatorrhea
• loss of fatty tissue
• protruberant abdomen

Symptoms

• First year-severe pulmonary infection
• wheezing
• cyanosis
• clubbing of fingers
• barrel shaped chest
• subject to all problems and complications of COPD
