    use in Intramural Soccer

Law 1 2 Field of Play Ball
  • Field measures 80X50 yards
  • Goal area measures 6X20 yards
  • Size 5 soccer ball

Law 3 Number of Players
  • Maximum of 9 players on a team
  • One must be a goalkeeper
  • Minimum of 7 eligible players to play

Law 3 Substitutions
  • WHEN?
  • Own throw-in
  • Any goal kick
  • After any goal
  • For an injury
  • Opposing teams throw-in IF the opposing team is
    substituting as well.
  • Opposing teams corner kick IF the opposing team
    is substituting as well.

  • Player may leave the field anywhere

Law 7 Duration of the match
  • Two (2)- 25 minute halves.
  • Continuous running clock, unless deemed necessary
    by the referee to stop (ie. Injury).
  • At the end of regulation if the game is tied
    there will be a 5 minute sudden victory overtime
    period.
  • During season play, if after the 5 minute over
    time period the game is still tied, the game is
    recorded as a tie.

Law 7 Duration of the MatchPlayoffs
  • If at the end of regulation the score is tied,
    there will be two(2)- 5 minute sudden victory
    over time periods.
  • If, after the over time periods, the score is
    still tied, the winner will be decided by kicks
    from the mark.
  • Each team elects 5 individuals to alternate shots
    on goal from the penalty mark.
  • If it is still tied, there will be one kick at a
    time to break the tie.  Different players must be
    selected for the single shots, than those in the
    original five shots.

  • Games begin at scheduled time. If teams are not
    ready to play at that time, they will forfeit.
  • Coin toss

  • Winning team chooses side to defend
  • Start and end of each half with a whistle
  • All other restarts may be vocally announced (ie.
    PLAY) if necessary
