  • At 19 months, she developed a disease causing her
    to go deaf and blind.
  • At 7 years old she began working with 20 year old
    Anne Sullivan to find a way to communicate with
    the rest of the world.
  • At the age of 24, she became the first deaf and
    blind person to earn a college degree.
  • After years of hard work and tremendous
    willpower, she became a world famous public
    speaker, political figure and author.
