KMS INSURANCE

• KMS Insurance is a small insurance start up that
  provides services to larger insurance companies
  operating in the property and casualty insurance
  markets.
• KMS currently has six full time employees.
• They currently have individual computers of
  varying age and capability. They are not
  interconnected in any way.

• Dell Power edge 1600SC.
• Processor Intel Xeon 2.0GHz. Note- capable of
  expanding to 2nd processor.
• 533MHz front side bus
• 512 K L2 cache memeory
• 1.0 GB DDR SDRAM memory
• 1 3.5 in floppy, 1 48x CD-ROM

• Two 10K RPM, SCSI Hard drives, 73GB each
  connected to SCSI controller RAID 1.

• Built in fire wall protection.(Customer is
  already utilizing their own software fire wall
  and has sufficient licensing for utilizing this
  product as well.

Power management and Backup

• Client will have power company install meter
  mounted surge protection. This will provide a
  level of building wide surge and high speed
  transient spike protection. Price is included in
  monthly power bill.
• American standard power conversion SX1500,
  1500va, 850 watt Backup for server/Router. Serial
  port interface and power monitoring capabilities
  for troubleshooting.

Cabling and Installation hardware

• Customer will need 250 feet of Category 5 cable.
  Note- may need plenum grade cat-5.
• 6 - wall mounted RJ-45 jacks and plates.
• 6 - outlet mounted surge suppressers, One for
  each work station.Customer supplied.
• Customer will purchase cabling and installation
  hardware at time of installation since all is
  readily available at retail outlets.
