What is the 9th grade team?

• An interdisciplinary team of teachers and support
  personnel who are dedicated to the instruction of
  9th graders. This is a hand picked group of
  staff that receives specific professional
  development geared toward the 9th grade child.

9th Grade Team Strategies

• Collaborative team meeting every other day that
  is devoted to 9th grade instructional and social
  topics.
• PBIS Student Behavioral Management system that
  is built on inspiring students to do the right
  thing because it is the right thing to do.
• Discipline Ladder A progressive model of
  behavioral consequences that is taught to
  students from the first day of school to the day
  that he/she graduates.

AP Scholars Program

• 2006-2007 We graduated our first AP Scholars (7
  scholars)
• Purpose of the program is to recognize and
  encourage high-achieving students to continue a
  rigorous course of study, and experience with
  support a college program.
• By graduation students must complete at least 6
  AP classes and sit for 6 AP exams.
• Course of study must include AP English, AP
  mathematics, AP science, AP social studies and 2
  electives.
