Canadian Wilderness

• A moose is a mammal from the Deer family. It is
  the largest in the family.
• In the winter it feeds on woody plants and in the
  summer it feeds on water plants
• It can be found in Canada, Alaska, Northern
  Europe and Asia Scandinavia to Siberia and
  Northern U.S.A.
• It lives in forest near lakes and rivers.
• The antlers are the male are flat with lots of
  branches.

Survival Needs

• Warm clothes including boots, gloves and hats.
• Matches or a way to start a fire
• Rifle, hunting knife and hatchet
• Tent and sleeping bag
• Portable stove and lantern
• Map of the area.
