1 Email Management

• E-mail is dominant form of business communication
• Per WSJ, employees will spend 3-4 hours a day on
  email
• Be informal, brief, and concise with clear
  subject line
• Avoid backgrounds, graphics, icons, etc. that
  distract
• BCC to send to large lists -- CC only as
  necessary
• Assume anyone may read your email
• Limit use of reply all

• Summarize long message strings

  Search, Schedule Meetings, RSS, Data Files, etc
  etc etc
