Title: Design Tutorial
1Design Tutorial
2This tutorial is using Corel Paint Pro Plus which
can be downloaded on a free 30 day trial. These
instructions will largely work with any paint
program. We will make a full outfit of skirt top
and boots for a pale skinned female. Hopefully
you already have downloaded the body JPGs and you
know where they are. Open the folder now and open
a female hips JPG.
3So here are the hips. It is important that they
are the right size. 256 x 128 pixels. Choose
your colours, I am going for red.
4Click on the colour toolbar to change the colour
and texture
5In the Material properties, select your colour,
make a note of the colour for later. You can do
this by jotting down the RGB numbers. Next look
at the textures in the top right, tick the
texture box and click on the drop down menu.
6There are lots of textures to choose from, I
have used canvas. Then click OK. Do the same
for the background (second box) using the same
colour and texture
7We are going to cover the whole hips area. In the
shapes, select the rectangle.
8Draw a rectangle around the whole of the JPG.
9So this is your skirt. Next we have to get this
into Moove. So lets save it.
10Save the file in your Moove folder. It must be
saved in ART\JPG
11(No Transcript)
12It is a good idea to use your own name in the
file name as identification, particularly if you
intend to share your designs. I have saved this
as Jess_red_skirt_1 Its already in the JPG
folder so I dont need to add .jpg
13Next we need to create an ASM, this tells Moove
how to put an outfit together. In your Moove
folder, create a new folder called ASM.
14This is an ASM for a mini skirt. It looks
complicated but you can use this for all skirts
and all you will need to change is the JPG
name. It is very important that this is the
exact way you saved your skirt.
15Now save your ASM. ASMs are written in Notepad
and save as .txt documents so you MUST add .asm
to your file name.
16This is where your outfit will be created
This tells Moove to create an outfit from an ASM
This is where you have saved your ASM
So now the command line that makes the JPG and
ASM into an actual outfit. I keep this saved on
Notepad so I can copy and paste it. In your
Moove\Outfits folder, create a new folder called
Test. This is where your outfits will be
sent. Again, it is important that you get the
file names exactly right.
17So, over to Moove. Copy and paste that command
line from Notepad into the chat box. Click send.
18If everything has been done correctly, you will
get a TRUE reply. If you get FALSE or NIL, then
you have made a mistake somewhere, quite likely a
letter wrong or something similar. Now off to
the Actor Studio to have a look.
19And there it is in the test folder! Well
done. Lets make a t shirt.
20Back to the paint program. You could keep
exactly the same colour but I tend to slightly
change the colour but keep the same texture.
21This time, open up a plain document to the size
of the chest. 256 x 128 pixels.
22Do the same as before and cover the whole area
with a rectangle with your colour choice.
23Next, change both your colours in the palette to
white and select a round/circle shape.
24Draw a white circle at the top of the picture in
the centre, this will be your neck. Next, I am
going to put a logo on the t shirt. In PSP there
are tubes that can be used for this. Open them
up and choose one. You will need to fiddle with
the size the chest area is very small.
25So I have just added a small pattern to the
front. Next you need to select the entire image.
Do this by drawing a box around it using the
selection tool.
26In Edit, select Copy Merged
27Next, open a female chest. Then open Edit and
select Paste as Transparent Selection.
28Carefully place the image over the chest, the
only bit of chest showing should be the neck.
Make sure nothing shows at the edges.
29Save the top in Moove\ART\JPG I have saved it as
Jess_red_top_1
30Now the ASM. This one doesnt have all the
numbers as the skirt did. This is because the
skirt needed to hang but the top is tight in this
case.
31Save it in your ASM folder in Moove and dont
forget the .asm extension
32Now the command line. You can see all you are
changing is part of the file name.
33Now copy it into the chat box and send it.
Hopefully you will get a TRUE reading.
34And there is the t shirt.
35Looking good! Lets see how we can alter this t
shirt a little.
36All you need to do is make the rectangle smaller
and the circle a little bigger. I also added a
little flower.
37Save it as before, this is Jess_red_top_3 then
make another ASM. Open up the one you used
before and just change the JPG name then save
with the new name adding the .asm as well. Put
the new command line into Moove and..
38A shorter top, very nice. Lets make boots.
39Open up the leg JPG and the foot JPG. Use the
same colour and texture as before. Cover them
using the rectangles. Cover the leg for whatever
length boots you want. I usually go just above
the knee.
40(No Transcript)
41Save each JPG, make sure to include leg in the
leg JPG file and foot in the foot JPG. I made
Jess_red_boot_leg Jess_red_boot_foot
42This is another big ASM, the numbers are to give
you heels. There are 8 parts to this. Thigh,
shin, foot and toes for Right and Left leg. Be
very careful you dont want to lose any body
parts!
43Put the command line into Moove and there are
your boots! Lets make them match the top.
44I added 2 flowers to the boots then saved it all
again, created a new ASM then put the command
into Moove.
45Cute!!
Well done, we just made 1 skirt, 2 tops and 2
pairs of boots!!
