Title: ECAD Laboratory
1ECADLaboratory
2Overview
The Electronics Computer Aided Design (ECAD)
Laboratory was founded in 1994 with the financial
support of the European Community under the
TEMPUS SJEP Project 3038. It is a Faculty
Laboratory and works with all departments of the
Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technology.
3Mission
The Laboratory is a National information and
training centre in the fields of Electronics and
Microelectronics design and prototyping, Open and
Distance Learning.
4Main Activities
A substantial amount of scientific research
activities, Integrated Circuits and System
design, undergraduate and Ph.D. students
education is carried out here. In its activity
the laboratory integrates the experience and
knowledge of lecturers, experts and students from
the TechnicalUniversity of Sofia as well as from
leading scientific research and manufacturing
organisations in the field of Microelectronics in
Bulgaria.
