• He needed a plan!

• What to do? What to do? Daughter is not
• married? No husband? No baby! No
• grandson to kill me! Hurray!!

The Plan

• Lock Danae in an underground room where she would
  never see a man, therefore, never have a baby.

Got Zeus?

• Zeus visited Danae in the form of golden
  rain.
• Result.

Mad Pappy

• King Acrissus was not happy.
• Did not want to anger the gods by killing his
  family.
• Plan B lock them in a chest and throw them out
  to sea.

The Island

• Mother and son safely landed on an island.
• Found by a kind fisherman, Dictys.
• His brother, ruler of the island, Polydectes,
  found Danae very attractive.
• However, he was not the step-father kind.

• Time passes love blooms
• Polydectes wants to marry Danae
• BUT. Need to get rid of the kid!
• Engagement party with lots of gifts

• Perseus travels to find Medusa
• Gets help from Athena and Hermes

• Slays Medusa
• Used a mirror and a sword
• Bagged her head
• Returns home with a gift and a bride of his own!

• Danae finds out the truth about Polydectes.
• She is in hiding.
• Perseus returns.

Poetic Justice

• Perfect Gift is presented.
• Gift meant to kill Persues kills all.
• Mom and son reunited.

The warning?

• Fulfilled years later at a contest.
• Persues accidentally shot an arrow into a crowd
  of spectators and unknowingly killed his
  grandfather.
