How It Works After School Activities (ASAs) are
offered as part of the Green Hedges After School
Program, which includes Extended Day. Each class
description includes meeting day(s) and time, age
levels, minimum number of students required and
price. If you have specific questions about a
class, please contact the instructor
directly. Some General Rules Students who are
enrolled in After School Activities will report
to Extended Day (in Room A) when it is opened
during 315pm dismissal. They will sign in with
a teacher, and have a snack sitting at the tables
while waiting for their ASA instructor to pick
them up. ASA instructors will perform an
attendance check of their class, and take their
students to their own class space. When the ASA
is over, instructors will wait with their
students in the front hall, until all students
are dismissed to parents or 15 minutes after the
ASA scheduled end time. Parents will need to
sign their child(ren) out on the attendance
sheet. Any children returning to Extended Day
will be escorted to Room A, along with children
whose parents are late, by the ASA instructor
after all other children have been
dismissed. What This Means (For Parents) If
your child is enrolled in either Extended Day or
an ASA, s/he will need to bring a snack to eat
after school. Some classes include a small
snack, but parents are advised to pack a snack
anyway. Students enrolled in an Extended Day
program (5 or 3 days/week) may sign up for ASAs
at no additional charge, with the exception of
classes marked with an asterisk (). Child(ren)
will not be permitted to go to ASA meeting rooms
or out to parents/cars alone, and will need to be
signed out by an adult when dismissed from Room A
or ASAs. Additional Info A calendar of all
ASAs, meeting times and special daily information
is available on the After School Program Online
Calendar, at http//calendar.yahoo.com/greenhedges
school. Please check this calendar regularly
(particularly on days when your child is
scheduled to have an ASA), as it will reflect
information about potential cancellations or
changes. Questions or Comments? Gwen Mak
