COURSE GOALS
  • Provide first-year cadets an informative and
    motivational program designed to recruit, retain,
    and familiarize cadets with the Air Force way of
    life and foster leadership, followership,
    teamwork, and esprit de corps
  • Provide cadets scheduled to attend field training
    with the mental and physical skills needed to
    succeed in the AFROTC field training environment
  • Provide cadets returning from field training
    sufficient opportunities to demonstrate and
    develop the leadership and management skills
    needed to successfully function as an active duty
    officer
  • Provide cadets to be commissioned additional
    opportunities to demonstrate and develop the
    leadership and management skills needed to
    successfully function as an active duty officer
    and to adequately prepare them to transition from
    the ROTC environment to active duty

GRADING CRITERIA
  • Pass or Fail System
  • All Cadets Must Attend 80 of LLABs and two PT
    sessions per week
  • We Expect You to Attend 100 of LLABs
  • You Fail LLABYou Are OUT of AFROTC
  • All Cadets Must Take (Attempt) the PFA
  • Non-contract Cadets Simply Must Take
  • Contract Cadets Who Fail Receive Conditional
    Event
  • LLAB failure
  • Cadets Must Not Show Indifference to Military
    Training
  • This Can Justify a Disenrollment
    Investigation/Dismissal from the Program

Attendance Policy
  • Excused-LLAB Only
  • Cadet gives COC a memo explaining the
    circumstances PRIOR TO THE ABSENCE
  • Emergency Situations
  • Only the COC can excuse a LLAB absence
  • Excused if Reasonable, This Allows You to Makeup
    a LLAB and Remove the Absence
  • Make-up Must Be Accomplished With Your Supervisor
    or Flt CC WITH IN 7 Days of the Absence Being
    Approved by the COC
  • Memo Documenting the Work Must be Signed by the
    Flt CC and Given to COC
  • Unexcused
  • COC Does Not excuse the Absence, there is NO Make
    Up

  • AF Pre-Participatory Sports Physical 14 Days to
    Complete and Return to SSgt Ankiewicz
  • Pre Health Screening Questionnaire All
    Complete?
  • Cadets Will Attend 2 Sessions Per Week
  • PT Schedule
  • Tues and Thur 1545-1645
  • Wed and Fri 0700-0800
  • Wednesday Mornings are Mandatory
  • It is Your Responsibility to Show Up on Time AND
    Sign-In

  • Maintain a Term GPA of 2.0 or Better

    Non-Mandatory ROTC Activities

DRESS AND APPEARANCE
  • Wear Uniforms All Day Monday and to Appropriate
    Academic Class
  • When Not in Uniformand in the Front House
  • Maintain All Military StandardsHair, Shaving,
    Etc
  • No Earrings (Men)
  • No Bare Midriffs (Men or Women)
  • Professional Environment Professional
    Appearance
  • Inclement Weather Memo Posted in the Back House
  • No Mixing and Matching of Uniforms
  • ROTC Issued Items NOT Approved for Wear in Public

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS (S/A)
  • S/A Requires You to Check Your Backhouse Mailbox
    at Least Twice/Week
  • S/A Requires You to Update/Check Your E-mail and
    Telephone Rosters
  • Attendance issues will be handled via email
  • 24 hours to reply
  • The AF is not liable for medical care when cadets
    participate in non-AFROTC sponsored events

  • ALL Appointments With Officers.
  • In UniformUnless Same-Day Appointment
  • Knock Twiceetc, Read the Cadet Guide
  • Same Applies for the NCO Staff, However, Do Not
    Salute
  • Ms Shelby will schedule all appointments
  • Do Not walk-in and ask/expect to talk to the NCO
    Staffunless there is an emergency

DENNY W. GINGERICH MEMORIAL AFROTC AWARD
All cadets enrolled in the General Military
Course (GMC) are eligible to self-nominate. This
award will be judged by two AFROTC alumni. The
scholarship will consist of a one-time award of
250.00 and will be presented at the annual
AFROTC Awards Banquet.
