2Ideograms and their names
Digitong Ideograms
- Digitong ideograms have a larger semantic
extension than ordinary words of natural
languages. - Their names refer to this larger semantic
extension and not to the extension of ordinary
english words. - The double types indicate the essence of their
archetypes. For example, the essence of the time
archetype ( ) is change ( ).
3Use of ideograms
Digitong Ideograms
- Digitong ideograms are used to
- Represent in standard digicode sequences the
semantic composition of digitong objects (memes,
arches, semes, moments and episteme). - Represent the semantic switches of the ideas
intelligent 3D agents performing semantic
functions.
4Semantic Switch Functions
Digitong Ideograms
Semantic switches
- A Digitong idea is an evolutionary analog
semantic processor. - The main operators of this processor are
- the semantic switches
- the ideas memory
- Semantic switches perform collaboratively in
sorting functions according to their operational
volume, set by their ideas seme. - Semantic switches read middlecodes of objects and
sense their volume. - They attract memes to the idea.
- Handled by a virtual community, they extract the
memes information in order to transform it into
action. - They send the memes produced by their idea.
5Reminder
Digitong Ideograms
- Digitong Ideograms are not rigid categories but
semantic qualities. - The semantic volume of Digitong Ideograms can be
modulated. - Digitong ideograms are combined to express the
semantic addresses of documents, transactions,
messages, actions and so on.

11The being transfers its information to the thing
through the intention channel. Human beings wish
to inhabit their physical environments. They
expect to work using tools, to name objects and
to give value to events. Humanitys
self-creation rhymes with the intention to create
a meaningful cosmosa world.

WORLD
12The sign transfers its information to the thing
through the intention channel. Human beings
record and register. Without inscription there
would be no memory, and without memory, the
notion of time would be unthinkable. Cultural
memory is a condition of cultural evolution this
archetype manifests an intention of duration.
From time emerges a past, a future, and a present
linking them both.

TIME
13The thing transfers its information to another
thing through the intention channel. Physical
space is made of relationships between things
the reciprocal enclosure of objects create
topological space. Intentions to fold and
unfold, to connect and disconnect, to limit and
extend, create human space.

14The being transfers its information to the sign
through the intention channel. We bind ourselves
with promises and contracts. We obey laws we
recognize a totemic animal as our common
ancestor we fight under a common flag we
exchange economic goods by giving them an
exchange-value within some conventional
systemsuch social obligations and conventions
share a common goal they build society.

15The sign transfers its information to another
through the intention channel. Signs follow each
other and generate new signs during the thinking
process deduction, induction, interpretation,
imagination Thinking, the movement of sign
structures, is directed by the intention to
create and discover freely.

16The thing transfers its information to the sign
through the intention channel. A discursive
message is true if it contains a correct
description (the sign contains the thing). In
a logical sense, truth only matters for
descriptive messages. In a pragmatic sense,
music, emotions, images, fictions and questions
may contain a certain form of truth. Truth
must be pursued intentionally in order to be
achieved.

17The being transfers its information to another
being through the intention channel. Desire,
love, hate, indifference, compassion and
equanimity are all intentions exchanged between
beings. Emotions and feelings, whatever their
quality may be, constitute the energy that binds
human relations.

18The sign transfers its information to the being
through the intention channel. A being receives
and recognizes a collection of signs. Each event
can act as a sign and each succession of events
can function as a message. Communication starts
with the intention of opening oneself up to the
meaning of signs.

19The thing transfers its information to the being
through the intention channel. Eating and
drinking are the most obvious modes of
information transfer from thing to being. Having
a body forces us to acquire and maintain a
connection to the physical world. Embodiment also
implies anticipation of suffering and desire to
avoid it. Birth, growth, sickness, health, and
death are associated with the body.

20Philosophical Correspondences (1)
Digitong Intentions
Intention archetypes
- Many philosophical schools have considered as
axiomatic one or more of the nine Digitong
intentions archetypes - Nietzsche (who assigned a central role to the
creation of values) and anthropology both found
their approach on the world function. - Bergson and, with him, the evolutionists or,
similarly, the philosophies of impermanence and
karma (such as Buddhism) underline the passage
and effect of time. - Geometers, topologists, atomists, materialists
and physicists base their work on the space
function. - Rousseau, Comte, Marx, Durkheim, Mauss, Weber,
and sociology base their approach on the
society function.
21Philosophical Correspondences (2)
Digitong Intentions
Intention archetypes
- The Western idealist tradition (Plato, Hegel,
etc.) and also an important portion of the
great Indian meditative philosophies use the
thought function as their base. - Logical traditions and analytical philosophy are
essentially interested in the truth function
and problems of reference. Epistemology and
cognitive sciences try to resolve the problem of
true knowledge. - Freud and much of clinical psychology, as well as
poets and actors, insist on the importance of
emotions, therefore starting with the feelings
function. - The philosophies of language and communication
focus on the message function. Wittgenstein
built his philosophy around the limits of
language. - The empirical, phenomenological, and biological
traditions all base their ontologies in the
body function.

Digitong Intentions
Intentions archetypes
- Each philosophy only explore some dimensions of
semantic space. Digitongs semantic space
embraces all of them. - Digitong adopts a non-centralised semantic
structure which is intrinsically peer-to-peer, or
hypertextual. - No archetype is an absolute foundation, origin,
or endpoint for the others - The relationships between archetypes are on a
equal basis - The archetypes are interconnected and
interdependent.
