• Replacement agreement with network/server vendors
• Buy critical backup hardware today, however
  technology is outdated very quickly
• Networks and systems change/evolve dynamically
  what would be purchased today is not what would
  be purchased 5 years from now

• Structure an agreement with campus departments
  that would
• Allow a campus department to buy a server for
  their use
• The administration would subsidize the purchase
• The department would maintain the server
• The server would be available for use in a
  disaster recovery situation

• Network attached storage
• Same type storage devices in FH213 and ADS
• Integrate a campus backup system as part of
  network attached storage system
• Use existing campus fiber to maintain exact image
  of FH213 databases

Electrical Power

• Purchase UPS systems for FH213 and Administration
  South
• Building power restoration would occur in
  parallel with the initiation of recovery plan
• Restore power for critical buildings
• FH213 first
• ADS second
• ?

• Assuming a total loss of the network hardware
  then
• Full campus network capability is not needed to
  restore a level of network connectivity to
  prioritize buildings
• Ethernet switch hardware readily available for
  quick delivery
• Require agreement with router vendor for quick
  router delivery
• Full network restoration would be on the order of
  8 to 12 weeks
• FH213 servers restoration would depend on vendor
  delivery and installation.

• Off campus connectivity would be subject to
  vendor timeframes (today - Alltel)
• If critical, then consider installing alternative
  off campus network connectivity with a different
  vendor
