• Must apply through the counselor

• Must have a realistic chance of employment
• Final selection of those students that are
  eligible

Training Plans

• Training plans must be completed within the first
  two days of employment
• Cooperative activity between the
  student-employee, employer, and the school
  district.
• Two types
• State furnished training plan
• School, computer-generated training plan

Training Station Selection

• Agricultural-related business
• Need for a part-time student worker
• Opportunity for the student to obtain a skill
• Opportunity for continued employment after
  graduation.
• Stability of place of employment

• Curriculum is based on providing students with
  necessary skills in obtaining employment.
• Rules and regulations
• Rules and regulations of specific jobs
• Job Applications
• Filling out applications correctly

• Instructions on proper types of resumes and
  things to include on them
• Computer word programs such as Microsoft Word or
  Word Perfect can be used.
• In Microsoft Word, go to File, New, then
  select Other Documents
• There will be three types of resume templates
  Professional, Elegant, and Contemporary
• The students can type their information into the
  template.
