Reservation System
  • The Orientation Reservation System Opened March
    20th
  • All Freshmen/Freshmen Transfer and Transfers
    students can reserve their seat for summer and
    fall programs.
  • Reservations for Rowdy Ties family programs can
    be made along with the students reservation.
  • Prepayment of Orientation Fee
  • All Freshmen and Freshman Transfers will be
    required to pay a 50 pre-payment towards their
    orientation fee in order to reserve their spot.
  • The balance will be applied when they check in to
    their program and will be paid along with their
    Tuition and Fees bill.

1604 Program Dates
  • Summer
  • May 13-Blended- FR, FT, TR and guests
  • May 20- FR, FT, and guests
  • Fall
  • First program June 3-5 Last traditional
    program Aug. 5-7
  • There will be a program July 1-3
  • Special population programs
  • CAP-1604 only- June 17-19, July 8-10, and July
    29-31
  • ADP-All 1604 programs

1604 Student Programs
  • Summer
  • One day format, no orientation housing
    available.
  • Fall
  • Regular programs- June to August
  • Three days, Tuesday-Thursday. Overnight
    experience in Chaparral Village.
  • Overflow programs- August
  • Two day format, no orientation housing available.
  • Online Orientation program
  • Not published, but opens in August,
    accommodates all late admits and those
  • with special circumstances that prevent them
    from attending all other
  • programs. Students informed of this option on
    a case by case basis.

1604 Information Fairs
  • Table reservation forms for Summer and Fall 1604
    Fairs are available now
  • Fair locations for Summer and Fall will be in the
    Retama Auditorium Galleria
  • Summer Fairs
  • 12 noon-1pm
  • 2 rounds each 30 minutes opposite lunch
  • Fall Fairs
  • 1230-305pm
  • 3 rounds, each 45 min, part of roundabout
  • A total of 2 door prizes per term (delivered to
    OTS by Friday, May 2nd) are REQUIRED in order to
    participate.
  • Table space is limited, filled on first-come,
    first-served basis
  • Deadline 5 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2008

  • Facilitators spreadsheet will be saved in PDF
    format and placed in a
  • secure password protected link from OTS
    website.www.utsa.edu/orientation
  • Facilitators will receive an email telling them
    where to log in so they can access the form as
    many times as they choose.
  • If any changes need to be made, they occur in
    this location only.
  • Facilitators who need to be aware of the change
    will be emailed accordingly.
  • Downtown facilitators will only see an hour by
    hour schedule due to individualized confirmations

    heritage

Roadrunner Camp II
  • Roadrunner Camp II will provide select Freshmen
    the opportunity
  • to evaluate their transition to UTSA. The camp
    will assist students
  • in identifying their personal transition
    challenges, provide effective
  • strategies for these students to implement, and
    increase these
  • students persistence to the Spring semester.
  • Strengths Based Curriculum
  • October 17-19 at T Bar M Lake Travis
  • Little to no cost for the student
  • Students are nominated by faculty, staff, RAs,
    Peer Leaders, etc.
  • Opportunity to use this group as a focus group
