- Electronic Commerce Council of Canada is the
Canadian voice in the development of Global
Standards - Mission is to take a leadership role in
establishing, promoting, and facilitating
implementation of global multi-industry standards
for collaborative commerce - Not-for-profit, industry led organization that
promotes and maintains global standards for the
identification of goods, locations and related
e-commerce communication - A EANUCC International Member Organization
- EAN European Article Numbering system
- UCC Uniform Code Council
- Represents Canada in the continuing development
of local and global trading partners - ECCC has more than 8,500 members with the
majority being SMEs.

- CANARIE had the resources and talents to identify
and understand what the ECCnet initiative meant
for Canada on all levels and the risk of
non-implementation.
