3What Is An Employee Network?
A group of employees who share a mutual interest
in helping Kimberly-Clark achieve its stated
business objectives and heighten diversity
awareness, while also pursuing personal,
professional and career growth (through
networking and planned events).

- In 1994, employees began to organize initial
meetings focusing on these diversity groups - Asian

6The Role of Employee Networks
- Development Providing opportunities for network
members to develop and refine knowledge and
skills that will help them to be successful in
current and future business roles. - Recruiting Providing guidance and support in
identifying, attracting and retaining top talent
from a diverse set of backgrounds. - Socialization Helping individuals from
different backgrounds to feel included in the K-C
community and also within the surrounding
residential community. - Provide Feedback To Management Helping to
identify issues and opportunities for
strengthening K-Cs organization and sharing
their unique perspective.
7Satellite Networks/GRID Teams
- Satellite Networks -are extensions of corporate
staff located employee networks. Their purpose
is to further the objectives of the parent
network (i.e. WIN team at Berkeley Mill) - GRID Teams (Growth Resulting from Inclusion
Diversity) are diversity teams that work to
broaden employee involvement and diversity
awareness at various K-C locations (i.e. GRID
team at Corinth Mill)
