History

• Snowboarding has many influences including
  surfing, skateboarding, and skiing. Many people
  have been credited with the invention of
  snowboarding including Jake Burton Carpenter,
  Sherman Poppen, Demetrije Milovich, and Tom Sims.

Boards

• Many varieties of boards are available for the
  type of riding you want to do. If you like deep
  powder, rails, jumps, trees, cruising, back
  country, or whatever, there is a board for you.
  Fat boards are good for powder, Stiff boards are
  faster, and flexible boards are good for jumping.

Bindings
Bindings are a key component to any snowboard,
they hold your feet to the board. It is
important to get the right bindings. There are
three different types of bindings, strap in, step
in, and the new bindings that Flow makes, which
are pictured in the right hand corner.

Clothes

• Clothes are also important to snowboarding. You
  usually want to dress in layers, and if you get
  hot you can just take a layer off.

• There are many different places in Colorado
  including Vail, Loveland, Copper Mountain, Ski
  Cooper, Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek,
  Steamboat, Monarch, A-Basin, Aspen.
