    Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas

Problems
  • 40 million per acre
  • Fiercely aggressive and armed with a potent
    sting
  • much more aggressive than native fire ants
  • Can attack and cause painful stings on humans,
    pets, and livestock
  • ants flood onto their victim

  • All in all, the red imported fire ant is similar
    to the olive fruit fly because they are both
    unwanted. Their differences are that the red
    imported fire ant stings people and the olive
    fruit fly stings the olive. I have learned that
    the red imported fire ant and the olive fruit fly
    are dangerous and unwanted.
