3Make An Irish Tea Ring!!!
- An Irish Tea Ring is cheap, easy to make and it
is a delightful way of saying I care.
4The Recipe
- Mix together. Don't stir.
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 package (2-1/2 teaspoons) yeast
- 2 teaspoons sugar

- Mix together.
- 2 cups warm milk
- 1/2 cup melted margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Add two mixtures together. Add
- 7-1/2 cup flour

- Mix and knead.
- Put the dough in a greased bowl,turn over
once to coat with oil. - Let rise until double in
- size (approximately 1 hour.)
- Divide the dough in half.

Now here is the real secret!!!
Now here is the real secret...
- That recipe I just told you about
- Forget it!!
8To make this really easy...
- Buy frozen bread dough from the supermarket.
- I buy Rhodes. It comes in packages of 2 or 6.
9Simply...
- Defrost the dough
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured board- roll
out to about a 10 inch oval.
10 Generously spread butter (about 2 Tbs.) over
the rolled surface covering the entire circle.
Sprinkle 2 Tbs. of cinnamon and 1/2 cup of
brown sugar over the dough.
Next ...
11And then...
- Start at one end and roll up into a log and
place on a cookie sheet overlapping the edges.

- Shape in a circle
- Cut slits every 2 inches or so.
- Cover with a damp kitchen towel.
- Let rise for 45-60 minutes.
13And then...
- Bake at 375 F for 30 minutes.
- When cooled, frost with a powdered sugar
frosting
14Frosting Recipe
- Mix together
- 1cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbs. of milk
- Decorate with maraschino cherries and halved
nuts.
