Once on the videolan.org web site, Click on the
latest release.

Joining a Streaming Session
1. Click on the VLC icon on your desktop
2. Click here to join a streaming session

Joining a Unicast Session
To join a unicast session 1. Click on UDP/RTP
2. Fill in Port (Confirm with hosting site)
3. Click on OK 4. You will automatically join
the session as long as the unicast session
has been started on the MAC 500

Joining a Multicast Session
To join a multicast session 1. Click on
UDP/RTP Multicast 2. Fill in Address 3.
Fill in Port 4. Click on OK 5. You will
automatically join the session as long as
the multicast session has been started on
the MAC 500
(Confirm with hosting site)

Capturing a Stream
To capture a stream 1. Click on Capture input
stream 2. Browse to desired folder 3.
Rename stream to file (name .mpg, or .m2p)
4. Click on OK

1. Choose Stream Output, Settings
3. Choose Encapsulation Method
4. Choose Video Codec, if transcoding is
desired, and Audio Codec
