Suburban Christian conference
  • Divisional sports vs. non divisional sports
  • Volleyball, football, basketball, baseball,

  • We are hosting the first annual SCC Cheer

Summer calendar
  • Vacation Time
  • July 3 to July 6 will have no athletic activities
  • August 1 to August 11th is the IHSA Dead Period
  • Every Saturday and Sunday is free, except for two
    dates, June 27th and July 11th (basketball)
  • Introduction sheet gives all the info
  • Calendar is color coded by sport

Athletic Development
  • Every Monday and Thursday, 600 730 p.m.
    starting on June 8th through August 10th
  • CORE
  • 30 minutes of what we have been doing all year
  • Weightlifting
  • 30 minutes
  • Speed/Agility
  • 30 minutes
  • Run by all CCHS coaches, split up by age
  • Rewards program (15 dates in June, July)
  • Next school year, CORE will resume . . .

Athelte Expectations
  • During the summer, athletes are expected to be at
    the athletic development nights every night
  • Athletes are expected to be at summer games and
    camps, as they are mostly at night
  • We tried not to schedule anything during the day,
    so that kids could work if need be
  • During the school year, if an athlete is not in
    season, they are expected to be at CORE and in
    the weightroom with their teams

Athelte Expectations
  • CCHS sports take priority over club sports
  • If you are not on a CCHS sport team and would
    like to play travel or club, go ahead
  • We want our kids to be able to play as many
    sports as they can because it helps everyone

Fall Sports
  • Official start date is Wednesday, August 12th
  • This is for all sports
  • Physicals and fees are due by the start of the
    first practice, please take care of that
  • Sport physicals will be held at CCHS on June 2nd
    from 1215 400 p.m.

Travel directions
  • Over Christmas, Coach Roozeboom and myself
    updated all of the directions for the new schools
    in the conference
  • These directions are to the school
  • Not all games are played at the school
  • If you notice a problem with them, please email
    me so we can fix them

New athletic website

    highschoolsports.net for the athletic department,
    beginning June 8th

Athletic trainer
  • Instead of 3 days a week, we will now have a
    trainer here 6 days a week, covering all home
    athletic events. He will also cover all home
    practices and away football games.
  • 2009 2010 fee structure
  • For this year, it was 30.00 per kid
  • For the future, it will be
  • 50.00 per football player
  • 25.00 per kid per sport for everything else
  • 3rd sport is free

Fundraising
  • All athletes will take part in a fundraiser this
    summer that will benefit all teams
  • Each team will be limited to doing one fundraiser
    during the school year
  • We will sell checkbooks, valued at around 600,
    for 40.00 each, make a profit of 28.00 per
    book. If we sell all 700 books we have, we will
    make 20,000
  • Each athlete will be required to sell 2 books
  • 10 off the top goes to the winning sport
  • Each athlete will get credit for each sport

Bus transportation
  • If an athlete plays multiple sports, it might not
    be necessary to pay for bus transportation
  • If an athlete cannot drive themselves home after
    a CORE workout, they can stay and do homework
    here until a ride can pick them up
  • Please check in with the association office for
    any details pertaining to the bus options

Ineligibility information
  • Purple tutor sheets represent D grades
  • Yellow tutor sheets represent F grades
  • We run eligibility reports every Monday
  • 2 yellows on a Monday report ineligibilty
  • 1 yellow, 2 weeks in a row ineligibility
  • Not going to tutoring ineligibility
  • Not turning in tutor sheets ineligibility
  • Ineligibility Monday through Saturday

  • Dependent on each sport
  • Tried to limit costs as much as possible
  • Athletic development training is free !!!
  • We understand the economy
