• Ants eat small insects, dead insects, nectar or
  honey dew. Protein is needed for the queen to
  make eggs so the larva will grow.

• Some ants can get eaten by reptiles and things
  that live in the water, like bats and birds.

• After mating a male the female loses her wings.
