- I had a lesson on Dom today. I am preparing to
show him at a schooling show on Sunday. Today,
was a review day, I had to remember what to do
when I show Dom, since it has been a few weeks
and his overall manner is changing. Michael gave
me a verbal quiz. I had to tell him what I am
supposed to do when I land off a fence. When I
land off a fence, I am supposed to first check my
lead. If I am on the wrong lead, I am supposed to
fix it by asking with my inside hand and outside
leg making sure that I keep my weight evenly
distributed and that I am always sitting up
straight. After I establish the correct lead - Journal uses detail and specifics about
equestrian riding.

- The mentor program has helped to further teach
me about responsibility, organization, being
independent, dedicated, a good student, and hard
working. In addition, the mentor program has
taught me to take an important aspect in my life
and make it educational. The main goal for
mentorship is to learn as much as possible in the
field of equine management,as well as, to select
a project that will benefit my mentor, Michael
Friedman.
