- Built on a rocky island just off shore.
- Because of this, its nickname is Nubble Light
- It is only accessible by boat although a previous
lightkeeper used to transport his child to the
mainland for school in a hanging basket! The
coastguard thought it was too dangerous and told
him to stop.
