SEARCHING
  • KEYWORD - type in a main word that you know is in
    the title, click KEYWORD
  • example prisoner for Harry Potter and the
    Prisoner of Azkaban
  • You will get a list of any materials that have
    prisoner in the title or subject
  • TITLE - type in the title of the book (omit a
    starting the or a), click TITLE
  • example Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
    Azkaban
  • You will get a list of any materials of that
    exact title
  • AUTHOR - type in the authors last name, first
    name, click AUTHOR
  • example Rowling, J. K.
  • You will get a list of all materials by that
    author
  • TOPIC - type in the subject of your search, click
    TOPIC
  • example wizards
  • You will get a list of all materials that have
    wizards in their topic records
  • SERIES - type in the name of the series, click
    SERIES
  • example Harry Potter
  • You will get a list of all materials in the Harry
    Potter series

  • Do not use your back button use the
    breadcrumbs to move back
  • Use the at the end of a word if you do not
    know the correct spelling or want any words
    related to that word
  • Paul will return Paulsen as well as Paulson
  • athlet will return athlete, athletes,
    atheletic, athletics

  • The screen will show all results of your search
  • Choose the result you want, and click details
  • Notice the results tell you that there is
  • 1 of 1 available
  • The whole screen is printable

RESOURCE LISTS
  • Resource Lists can be created for materials that
    are requested about a particular topic
  • Click PUBLIC LISTS to see the resources selected
    for that topic

CHECKING OUT MATERIALS
  • When you check out materials in the library, we
    will scan your bar code/ID number and then scan
    the bar code on the materials you need
  • Materials can only be checked out if we are in
    the library no catalog cards will be used
  • Books and Playaways should be returned as soon as
    possible. Please be considerate of other students
    who might want the materials.

CHECKING IN MATERIALS
  • Simply leave any materials you are returning in
    the drop box
  • We will scan the item and it will be removed from
    your record

  • Notices will be put in your teachers mailbox
    when your reserved books are ready for you.
  • We will send out reminders if materials have been
    out one month.
  • If you are studying a special topic, or if you
    have been assigned a specific book report, check
    the resource lists for suggestions.
