Fisheries and Marine Ecosystems (FAME)
FAME is an annual conference that brings together
graduate students of marine and fisheries
science, social science, and environmental policy
to address existing issues in marine ecosystems  

• Goals
• Facilitate communication among graduate students
  in the science and management of fisheries and
  marine ecosystems
• Gain a more dynamic perspective on the
  approaches necessary to improve management of
  these ecosystems
• Establish productive collaborations to address
  existing concerns and future needs in the
  research and management of marine ecosystems by
  scientists, managers, and policy-makers
• Explore topics beyond the scope of the
  participants areas of expertise to stimulate
  interdisciplinary discussions regarding marine
  ecosystems.
