Each week, Pendennis Tutor Groups are set a quiz
to test their general knowledge, current affairs
and lateral thinking skills. The Boffins League
table is updated each week with a prize going to
the winner at the end of each term.

These students wrote letters of application to Mr
Herring, Head of Pendennis, to become Prefects.
These letters were then read by the existing
Senior Prefect Team and Mr Mather, and House
Captains were chosen from the list. Prefects,
and the Prefect status, is an incredibly
important part of how our House system works.

Tutor Period Weekly Routine
School Organisers should be brought into every
Tutor Period in case Tutors need to write notes
home to parents.
13Expectations for
Tutor Periods
1. Arrive on time, every time.
2. Sit in your seat, not on a desk. Do not wander
around the room.
3. Remove jackets and other outdoor clothing.
Keep them in your lockers once in school.
4. Do not eat in the tutor room. Wait until break
time.
5. Do not check or apply make-up.
6. MP3 players and mobile phones should not be
seen or heard.
7. Stay in your tutor room during tutor periods.
If you have to leave for any reason, you must
have a note signed by a teacher.
8. Remain quiet whilst daily notices are read to
the group.
9. Bring your I.D. card every day and swipe in at
the start of Tutor Period.
Have RESPECT for others in your group. Treat them
as you would like to be treated yourself.

The Attendance Bear
Tutor groups with the best attendance in the
House (and those who bring in their ID cards
regularly) are awarded Dave in Assemblies on
Tuesdays. Groups honour the agreement to take
care of Dave for at least one week.
This weeks lucky winners are Mrs Deekss group!
We are aiming for at least 97 attendance.
Remember attendance matters. Employers and
colleges want to know how often you attended
school on time. Make your record perfect!
