Summer School
  • If students fail 1 or 2 core classes they may be
    required to attend summer school to determine
    placement for the next year.
  • If students fail 3 core classes all year then
    they will be retained.

Attendance Incentive
  • Perfect attendance each month free yogurt
  • If students have C average or above and have
    missed 4 blocks or less they will be exempt from
    taking final exams and do not have to be in
    attendance on those days.
  • But if they have spent 3 or MORE days in ISS they
    will be required to take finals. Students with
    any OSS will be required to take finals.
  • There are NO Excused absences in the incentive
    program

End of Course Tests (EOC) in High School
  • Purpose
  • Measuring reflecting student mastery toward
    post-secondary readiness
  • Identifying students strengths and weaknesses
  • Communicating expectations for all students
  • Serving as a basis of state national
    accountability plans
  • Evaluating program
  • EOC is based on Course Level Expectations (CLEs)
    rather than Grade Level Expectations (GLEs)
  • EOC is referred to the Right Test at the Right
    Time!

EOC Tests
  • 2008-2009 Tests Algebra 1, Biology, English 2
  • More tests to come Am. Government, Algebra 2,
    Geometry, Language Arts 1
  • Before graduation students will take 7 total EOC
    tests. Those tests are also a part of their high
    school course grade - 10
  • Students must be passing the class before they
    can take the EOC test.
