3HHS Quick Facts
- Heritage is the second high school to open in the
town of Leesburg, VA. and the 7th in the county. - Heritage has a population of 1,745 including our
PK Program - Heritage students value academic success 101
students made A honor roll and 611 made A/B honor
roll for the 2nd 9 weeks. - AP enrollment is up! 900 AP Exams will be
administered in May 2008 to Heritage students
enrolled in AP Courses. We only administered 38
exams the year we opened.
4Pride Accomplishments
- The National Honor Society works actively with an
orphanage in Kenya, Africa which serves as a home
to children whose parents have died of HIV/AIDs. - Several clubs participated in the American Cancer
Society Relay for Life which is held at Heritage
each June. - Various groups participated in the Annual Walk
for Water to raise money for water wells in
Africa. - Our Varsity Club works with Leesburg area
elementary students throughout the year. - Key Club is collecting items through the District
Project Operation GI (Giving and Interacting) to
send to troops in Afghanistan. - The Heritage Singers have been invited for the
last 2 years to sing in an orchestral concert
with Longwood University.

15Schedule Change Priority List
- Too many courses or too few courses appear on the
students schedule - Mistakes that have the student enrolled in the
wrong course - Level Changes
- Electives or other preferences
16Loudoun County Policies
- Changes will not be made if it causes the class
size to be disproportionate. - Students will not be permitted to add a course
after the third week of school. - Requests from students or their parents for a
change in teachers will not be allowed - The principal will approve all schedule changes
after the third week of school. - Students are expected to be enrolled in seven
credit subjects.
17SCHEDULE CHANGES
- Students may drop a course at any time up to the
first week after the issuance of the first
quarter report card. -
- Dropping a subject is not permitted between one
week after the first report card and the end of
the first semester. -
- A student may withdraw from a year-long course
during the first two weeks of the second
semester. Although partial credit is not given,
the grades earned are included in the
determination of GPA and class rank. -
