Im the Sun!!
What am I?
Without me there would be no weather!!
I provide energy to make wind, rain, fog, snow,
hail, thunder, and every other type of weather.
I am the most stable, persistent kind of weather.
Im a star in the middle of our solar system.

Im a Cloud!!
What am I?
I float across the sky in many different sizes
and shapes.
I am a visible collection of tiny water droplets
floating in the air.
I am almost always white because I reflect the
light from the sun.
During a storm I am gray and rain falls from me.

Im the Wind!!
What am I?
I am air in motion.
When I move slowly you can refer to me as a
gentle breeze.
I make windmills spin.
I feel good against your skin on a hot day.
I turn umbrellas inside-out!

Im Rain!!
What am I?
I fall from the clouds during a shower.
My drops are smaller than a centimeter in
diameter.
If enough of me falls from the sky I can cause a
flood.

Im a Tornado!
What am I?
I am a violent rotating column of air extending
from a thunderstorm to the ground.
My damage path can range from one mile to 50
miles wide.
I can destroy large buildings, uproot trees and
hurl vehicles hundreds of yards.
I go by many names waterspouts, twisters,
whirlwinds, and more!

Were Thunder and Lightning!!
What Are We?
We always come as a pair.
We are usually accompanied by a lot of rain and
wind.
Together we make a loud booming noise and can
make your house shake.
The flash that we make lights up the sky.
The closer we are to you the louder we sound.

Im a Rainbow!
What am I?
I am made up of seven colors.
I am the reflection of the sun in raindrops in
the sky.
I have a curved shape and appear after the rain
has stopped on a sunny day.
My colors are always in the same order red,
orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

Im Snow!!
What am I?
I am the white ice crystals that fall from clouds
in the winter.
My flakes are never the same and always have six
sides.
Schools close when there is a lot of me on the
ground.
You might try to catch me on your tongue.

Im a Hurricane!!
What am I?
I am an intense storm with swirling winds up to
150 miles per hour!
I am usually 300 miles across and am 1,000-5,000
times larger than a tornado.
I am also known as a typhoon, a tropical storm, a
tropical cyclone and even a willy-willy.

Im a Blizzard!!
What am I?
Im a long lasting snowstorm with very strong
winds and intense snowfall.
Three things mix to make me cold air, lots of
moisture and warm air.
Im a frozen ice cream treat that you can get
from Dairy Queen.

Im Hail!!
What am I?
I am frozen lumps of ice produced by
thunderstorms.
I am the most destructive form of precipitation.
I am usually about the size of a pea, but I
sometimes grow as large as a golf ball or an
orange.

Im a Drought!!
What am I?
I happen when rain hasnt fallen for long periods
of time.
I can cause water shortages, threaten the
survival of farmers, and turn topsoil into dust.
I can last for many years and can cause famine.
