1A-Day The Early Years
2A-Day is the annual agricultural show put on each
spring since 1949 by the students of the college.
It is the premiere event of the school year,
eagerly anticipated by the campus community and
the local community as well. The A-Day program
consists of exhibits and demonstrations involving
every major at the college. A-Days have featured
exhibitions of poultry, livestock and farm
machinery along with flower shows, milking
contests and log sawing contests. All the work
for A-Day, including planning and preparation, is
done by the students.

9The farm machinery exhibition has been a part of
A Day from the beginning.
10The hand milking contest provided lots of laughs.
Those are coke bottles the contestants are
holding, not milking pails.
11Now, will you please stay out of the dirt until
the judging is over!
12A Day even had its own poultry queen!

two-legged ones get in the act as well!
