  • Tonight we will be discussing 4 proficiencies
  • 2.7, 2.4, 2.2, and 2.3

2.7 Unit Development Overview
  • Design, adapt, and use lessons that address the
    students needs to develop information literacy
    and problem solving skills as tools for lifelong
    learning.

2.7 Clarification
  • Develop and teach learning units or lessons that
    encompass information literacy skills, using
    technology to increase each students ability to
    plan, locate, evaluate, select, and use
    information to solve problems and draw
    conclusions.

  • Determine outcomes (set goals and objectives) and
    evaluate the success or effectiveness of the
    process used (assess).
  • Develop and use a performance-based rubric for
    the project/lesson to demonstrate success.
  • Help students to become self-directed learners
    (facilitate).

    samples in portfolio.

Determining Outcomes and Evaluating Success
  • This is no different than setting goals and
    objectives within ones classroom setting. The
    secret is to plan ahead and investigate the tools
    that will be used. Nonetheless, one should
    expect complications and have a backup ready.
