  familiar with the basics of PowerPoint

Fonts

• All font changes can be made under the Format
  menu on the toolbar
• You can italicize, underline, embolden or change
  types or sizes, plus change color
• Only affects the current slide

Adding pictures, sounds and clips

• You can use the Insert menu on the toolbar to
  insert pictures, sounds, or clips, or
• You can pick a slide template that contains a
  multimedia icon, and click on the icon.

Designing Slides

• Slide design refers to Design Templates, Color
  Schemes and Animation Schemes
• Choose Design Templates under the Format menu
• Design Templates and Color Schemes and affect all
  slides
• Slide animation affects the text of the slide

Changing Slide Transition

• Slide transition affect the way the slide appears
  on the screen
• Change the slide transition under the Slide Show
  menu
• Can apply to one or all slides

Custom Animation

• Custom animation changes the animation of one
  part of a slide
• Highlight the text or picture
• Find Custom animation under the Slide Show menu
• Pick an effect
