GENERAL TRANSFER INFORMATION

• What is the transfer process for students?
• Identifying major to acceptance notification
• Please refer to Your Transfer Made Painless
  handout
• Admissions decisions
• Based on students transcript up to last semester
  completed before applying
• Acceptance is contingent upon receipt of final
  transcripts
• There is no one policy- Transfer policies vary by
  colleges and majors and often change.

• 4-yr colleges reserve the right to change
  academic policies affecting transfer at any time.
• Free electives are important
• Satisfy BA/BS requirements
• Our Biology, Chemistry, Engineering Science
  transfer very well.
• Forensic Science requires Science Transfer
  Chemistry
• Comparing Associate Baccalaureate Degree Progs.

• GPA Requirements 3.2 (RC, LC, DC)
• 2.5 University College
• Transfer Student H.S. graduate completed at
  least 12 creds. before entering RU.
• SATS are not required in this case.

• Foreign Language do not repeat same language
  level at MCC studied in HS.

  intermediate level at MCC or take different
  language

  be from different disciplines.

• Emphasis in Core Distribution Requirements is on
  breadth of knowledge MCC courses used to
  satisfy Humanities Social Sciences should be
  from different departments
• Ex. if student takes PSY 123, second SS Elec.

• Wants 2 courses from same discipline for Natural

• Competitive admission requiring 3.2 gpa or
  higher.
