• Description of both and a comparison and contrast
  of both.

The PC

• The standard PC usually comes installed with some
  type of Windows operating system
• Windows Vista (Most Recent)
• Windows XP
• Windows ME
• Windows 98
• (Anything before that is pretty ancient)

Types of PCs

• There are 3 main types of PCs that are more
  common over others
• Desktop Consists of a Tower, Monitor, Keyboard,
  Mouse, etc.
• Laptop Smaller portable PC used in places where
  a Desktop PC cannot be taken. Monitor and
  Keyboard are attached to each other and has the
  ability to fold.
• Tablet PC- Unique PC like the laptop except
  allows the user to use a stylus on the screen to
  write notes, or draw designs.

  PC packages
• Dell
• Gateway
• HP
• Alienware
• Compaq

Macintosh

• Classic Macintosh

Types of Macs

• Similar to PC styles
• iMac- Similar to desktop style PC except that it
  has no tower, the internal hardware is built into
  the monitor.
• Mac Mini- Desktop style except the internal
  hardware is located in an extremely small box.
  (Can actually run windows on this thing if your
  inclined to do so)
• Mac Notebook- Notebook style similar to PC
  notebook style, where keyboard and monitor are
  attached to one another.

Apple

• Apple is the name of the company that produces
  the Macintosh computers.
• Apple is also famous for their line mp3 players
  known as the iPod.( Many argue Apple should just
  stick to making these things instead of
  computers)
• Apple is also the owner of Quicktime a media
  playing utility used on many computers, even PCs.

Similarities

• Similarities between the PC and the Mac include
• Use of mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc.
• Both support GUI OS.
• Both can connect to the internet
• Both have media playing capabilities

Differences

• PC
• Has a larger list of compatible games
• More versatile
• Easier To upgrade
• Keys have different functions
• Windows usually has more bugs
• PCs dominate the market

Differences

• Mac
• Computer parts built into monitor
• Mouse only has one button
• Ready to use out of the box
• Smaller list of compatible games
• Used more by graphic designers
• Harder to upgrade and probably less versatile
• Mac feels foreign to PC users
