BUREAUS MISSION
  • The Bureau of Indian Affairs mission is to
    enhance the quality of life, to promote economic
    opportunity and carry out the responsibility to
    protect and improve trust assets of American
    Indians, Indian Tribes and Alaskan Natives. This
    will be accomplished through the delivery of
    quality services, maintaining government-to-govern
    ment relationship within the sprit of Indian
    self-determination.

FDDOTS MISSION
  • To work in concert with the Navajo Nation to
    identify and prioritize reservation roads within
    the Navajo Nation for road maintenance and road
    improvement to further the Nations economic and
    self-determination goals. To administer road
    construction and maintenance programs in
    conformity with the regulations and agreements
    (MOAs) jointly approved by the Secretaries of
    Interior and Transportation, policy and budget
    responsibilities.
