Lance Armstrong

• Was born in 1971
• At age 13 he won the Iron Kids Triathlon.
• In 1985 He won a race across America going 3,120
  miles in 9 days and 2 hours.
• In 1989 Lance qualified for the Junior world
  Championship in Russia and won.
• By 1991 he was the U.S. National Amateur Champion
  and soon after turned professional.
• As number one, he joined the U.S. cycling team
  with the Olympics.

• Right after he signed up with the U.S. Cofidis
  Racing Team out of France.
• After achieving 1 on the world rankings.
  Armstrong was forced from his bike due to the
  discovery of cancer.
• On October 2, 1996, he was diagnosed with
  advanced testicular cancer, which had spread to
  his abdomen, lungs, and brain.

More Lance

• Doctors thought it was highly unlikely that he
  had more than another year to live
• Miraculously he recovered, and then, even more
  miraculously, came back to bike racing. He signed
  a contract with the U.S. Postal Service racing
  team after being dropped by Cofidis
• Lance Armstrong went on to win 6 consecutive Tour
  de Frances in a row, naming him one of the most
  tenacious athletes ever.

• Lance is determined to do anything life demands.
  Like Lance always says, "I decided I was going to
  win."
• Lance never gave up even though the odds were
  against him.

• Giving all that you have not more than you have.
• Dont think that being tenacious is giving more
  than you can.
• Working on determination not waiting on destiny.
• Tenacious people dont wait on luck, fate, or
  destiny they earn their success.
• Quitting when then job is done, not when your
  tired.
• Its not about feeling when your done, its about
  knowing when your finished.

• Dont work necessarily harder, work smarter and
  more efficient
• Dont work for anything, work for something
• Make whatever you work for fun
