  • A shortage of food, ammunition, medicine, and
    attendant materials
  • The Defenders of Bataan continued to hold their
    ground, without reinforcements and without being
    re-supplied. Disease, malnutrition, fatigue, and
    a lack of basic supplies took their toll.
