yourself efficiently arriving at the closest
hospital from any one of these 13 gorges or
waterfalls

Purpose and Scope

• To create a best fit route to hospitals from
  certain gorges and waterfalls in Vermont
• No cascades, good to great swimming
• Avoid high accident locations, private roads,
  forest National forest highways,
• driveways and military roads

Methodology

• Network Analysis in a nut shell

• Criteria for waterfall, cascade, gorge
  selection
• No Cascades
• Rated as (3) good swimming or (4) great swimming

• Criteria for roads
• Remove by clipping Proposed private roads,
  Driveways, Military roads, forest and National
  forest highways
• Avoid High Accident sections (.15 miles)

Network Analysis allowed us to find all hospitals
within a 55 mile radius of each gorge

Results
After finding the hospitals near each gorge, we
compared the distance from each gorge to each
selected hospital. Then networked the best route
Which Resulted in....

Conclusions Recommendations

• After reviewing the resulting maps and data, we
  determined a most efficient emergency route for
  each gorge and waterfall
• We ran into some conflicting paths
• Some had two routes that were very similar
