Announcing the AONE Credentialing Center (AONE-CC)

• Demonstrate your high level of knowledge.
  Become certified with AONEThe AONE
  Credentialing Center (AONE-CC) is accepting
  online applications for two new certifications.
  Based on the AONE Nurse Executive Competencies,
  the Certified in Executive Nursing Practice
  (CENP) has been developed exclusively for the
  nurse executive. The Certified Nurse Manager and
  Leader (CNML), developed in cooperation with the
  AACN Certification Corporation (the credentialing
  arm of the American Association of Critical-Care
  Nurses), is the first-of-its-kind certification
  program for the nurse manager. For more

AONE Advocacy Policy

• Through its grassroots of network of 49 State
  Chapters, AONE keeps abreast of the latest issues
  affecting nursing on the legislative, regulatory
  and practice fronts. AONE provides the chapter
  leadership with up-to-date information on a
  variety of topics and allows the membership to
  access the most current information from
  government and other private and public sources
  through a leader list serve. And through
  quarterly chapter calls, AONE members are able to
  network and share with their colleagues across
  the country.
• AONE has a dynamic policy process that is guided
  by the AONE Strategic Plan. Policy papers are
  developed under the direction of the AONE Board
  of Directors, with input from the membership.

• The AONE Institute for Patient Care Research
  Education, an affiliate of AONE and a 501(c)(3)
  unit of the Health Research and Educational
  Trust, supports research and special projects
  that further AONEs mission and vision in the
  areas of nursing leadership, patient care
  excellence, and health care policy.
• The Institutes Award and Recognition Program is
  an annual event honoring nurses whose
  accomplishments in the areas of leadership,
  service and scholarship are worthy of AONEs
  highest recognition and celebration. The AONE
  Institute also offers research seed grants to
  AONE members conducting research in the areas of
  workforce development, patient safety, cultural
  competence, and nurse manager leadership
  development.
• Each years award, scholarship, and research
  seed grant recipients are honored at the AONE
  Annual Meeting and Exposition.

AONE/ RWJF Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB)
Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) is a
national initiative sponsored by the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation (RWJF) whose goal is to
address quality of care on medical and surgical
units. AONE has partnered with the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation through a 1.5 million grant,
Disseminating Transforming Care at the Beside
(TCAB), that will allow AONE to share insights
from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the
Institute for Healthcare Improvements TCAB
project with 68 hospitals nationwide. ? The
program engages leaders at all levels of the
organization while focusing on allowing front
line staff to transform culture and decision
making at the bedside. ? This initiative will
address AONEs key strategic areas of focus that
include designing the patient care delivery
models of the future, identifying the leadership
development needs of the future, and ultimately
creating the healthful practice environments
that can support the quality care that we must
provide to our patients. ? For more
