Why are we doing this?

• We turned on SMTP logging
• Wanted to get a feel for the distribution of
  client usage?
• Trying to understand support costs for email
  clients

Caveats

• Low confidence in the data
• Computing Services SMTP servers only
• "Unknown" Mail Clients were removed from analysis
• Non-CMU users were excluded from analysis
• Students were only on campus 1/3 of the time
  period
