Girl Scout mission
Building girls of courage, confidence, and
character who make the world a better place.

Our leaders in our communities.
Girl Scouting teaches girls to value themselves
and to make smart choices. Girl Scout meetings,
community service projects, outings and time
spent at Girl Scout camp give girls a safe place
to discover their strengths and nurture their
talents. Girls build character, as well as
lasting friendships, while learning everything
from crafts and careers to environmental
protection and budgeting.

This amazing movement, Girl Scouting, comes at a
price. It costs our council 150 a year to
support just one girl
in a troop.
The council provides incredible opportunities
through its camps, leadership development
programs, healthy living challenges, and science
and technology experiences, as well as through
the enriching outings to museums, theaters and
sporting events.

That is why I am asking you to join me in making
a financial contribution to this wonderful
organization and help to build tomorrows

The Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines
provides opportunities and life changing
experiences to more than 31,000 girls, ages 5-17,
throughout our 41 county service area.
Your contribution to Family Partnership will help
to benefit every Girl Scout in our council by
ensuring that money is never a barrier. Girl
Scouts-North Carolina Coast Pines granted
153,101 to 859 girls last year. 12,392 girls
were provided membership.
subsidizing camp fees at our six camp properties
Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Hardee, Camp Pretty
Pond, Camp Mu-Sha-Ni, The Homestead and Camp
Graham. Together they offer year-round program
and overnight opportunities for girls, troops and
families.

Your contribution to Family Partnership will help
to benefit every Girl Scout in our council by
Council-wide program events - Activities for all
ages from Girl Scout Daisies to Ambassadors such
as the very successful Wings Things, Flat Daisy
Pen Pal and Kamp Kaper.
Education and materials - Every Girl Scout troop
leader receives staff support, educational
opportunities, and materials to ensure that our
daughters will receive quality Girl Scout
programs from a qualified adult volunteer.

more girl in central and eastern North Carolina
gets the chance to grow as a Girl Scout?
Each family that gives 35 or more to the Family
Partnership Campaign will receive a window cling
to show their support!
