• Antiplano- region of plateaus and plains high in
  the mountains
• Suitable land for farming potatoes and maize
• Domesticated llamas and alpacas
• Used for food and clothing

• Advantages to living by the lake..

• Supports crops such as barley (used for food for
  llama and alpacas)
• Reeds grow there and were used to make boats for
  transportation. Called balsas
